Four perfect Spirals

Good day followers and readers.  Perhaps no one is following anymore as I have not posted anything in over six months.  Busy.  Life is busy.  Very Busy!  In the interim six months I've traveled a bit, mostly on business but I did take some time for myself.  I've been to Charlotte, NC, Houston, TX, Atlanta, GA, Syracuse and Pulaski, NY and Seattle, WA. Seattle was the personal trip.  Washington has been on "the list" for some time.  What's "the list?"  I've been trying to get to all 50 states.  Last year, as some readers may recall, I finally got to the state of LA.  I went to New Orleans for a few days.  After that trip it left just one of what we call "The lower 48," or the 48 contiguous states.  Washington.  I spent a long time trying to decide where in WA I wanted to visit. I've long wanted to go to Walla Walla, just because it's fun to say.  "Hey Answerman-where'd  you go on vaca?" "Walla, Walla, Was...

A is for Aardvark....Aardvarks are for parties

Good day readers and followers, here we are in my corner of world hitting 70 degrees for the second consecutive day for the first time in over six months.  No snow, no ice, this is some weather, this is really nice!  This could be cause for a celebration.  After long winter months of shortened daylight, damp, chilly air the change is welcome.  Maybe its time for a party. What are the two topics of discussion that typically ruin any party?  Religion and politics.  Religion has only practices -  but no games.  In consideration of that fact religion really seems like no fun.  Politics, however, politics has parties.  I'm in.  Let's have a party...and for me I've never been one that was a follower, I don't cower from management, tow the company line or adhere to a particular group, sect or political party.  The majority, well they are either the elephant in the room or just a plain old jackass.  When you look at the history ...

A couple of things about shopping

Good day readers and followers.  One of these days my advertisement board for this blog will get back up and running.  It was taken down for inactivity because I had it linked to my former blog E-dating and the new reality.  I had to work on the changeover and now the Google folks have to help me, but you can't communicate with them.  There's no e-mail, mailbox, phone, nothing.  They're like the woman I might want to date but I didn't get her number after a great conversation....which is a stupid thing I do way too often. Anyway, I hope you're all well and warm and happy.  It's a Saturday here in Questionnopolis and I have to run a couple errands.  Since I don't have a mate, a spouse or even an IN-significant other I will do the errands with my Granddaughter.  Back in the day, when I was married, we didn't run too many errands together.  I guess it was a generational thing.  Maybe it was because we had children from the age of 22 and ...

Are you my comrade?

Good day readers and followers.  We are in the middle of winter in my mythical home,  Questionopolis, PA, USA.  Speaking of myths, no matter what the central PA rodent-meteorologist, Punxatawney Phil saw or didn't see, the shadow of winter will be upon us until the Spring solstice.  I like the change of seasons- I like the chill of winter with extra hues of blue and seeing my breath.  I enjoy the fact that I don't have to cut the lawn.  Almost every winter Friday I make fresh soup. It's my Friday Night Soup  Of the Week or FNSOW in quick text format. Once upon a time I worked with a tight knit group of people.  Every Monday I would share my soup.  Eventually each person would share something that they made.  Of that group I consider three of them my friends.  I speak with them regularly or I at least try to speak regularly.  I don't have a social media account.  No Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. Onetime I wrote that s...

There is no saving...

Hello readers and followers.  I am sitting here in the early afternoon of my Pennsylvania, USA Sunday pondering many things.  This past week has been one of sadness and anger for me.  Those of you that regularly read the rambling thoughts I put here know that I have long railed against the less-than-governing body known as USA Gymnastics (USAG) for it's multi-level inability to protect the very athletes it specifically is assembled to lead, train and protect. USAG created the toxic atmosphere that allowed criminals to be revered and made victims out of its athletes.  Things were so bad that over 150 young women were allowed to be sexually assaulted by the chosen physician Larry Nassar, someone that I truly hope dies in prison soon- but only after he himself become the assault victim.  I am all about an eye for an eye sentence.  Nassar was also the lead physician at Michigan State University (MSU) athletic program.  Nassar's mentor there, Bill Stampel...

Criminal Lies, Criminal should....

Hello readers and followers, welcome to the new year.  Welcome to 2019.  While it is a new year and we wish everyone a "Happy New Year," and I do wish that for all of you, my first blog of 2019 is not one filled with joy or happiness. This may ramble a bit...as some of my pieces tend to do.  Just over a year ago I wrote a piece called Trial of Infamy and Tears. The piece was about a thoroughly beautiful human being, a young lady, Jenna Burleigh,   who was a student at my alma mater, Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, USA.  Jenna was murdered just off campus back on 8/31/2017.  The preliminary trial was just beginning - in the middle of the Christmas holiday season 2017, the first such that the Burleigh's would endure without their 22 year old daughter.  Jenna will be remembered as forever young.  It is a real shame. Now, as we begin 2019 a jury trial has begun.  More horrifying details for the family to endure, more lies from the accus...
